This Mississippi native and former Marine graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Degree in Hospitality Management. After a decade of working in the offshore oil industry, Paul Bankston decided to regroup and get back to being hospitable. He began looking for an established business to purchase. He was interested in finding something with a community feel and happened to find out Fairhope’s Grill and Bar was for sale. Paul and his wife, Nicole purchased the business in January. Although Nicole’s background is teaching/art instruction she has also worked in the food industry. She enjoys being involved in the community and interacting with people. Nicole oversees the day to day operation of Fairhope’s Grill and Bar and serves as the General Manager of the restaurant. There have been no changes to the menu. Fairhope’s Grill and Bar is serving the same great eats that have gotten rave reviews from customers.

Appetizers include a spinach artichoke dip, fried pickles, chips and salsa and more. Chicken wings come naked or boneless with sauce flavors that include buffalo, BBQ, sweet red chili, garlic parmesan or golden. Chicken tenders are also an option and you can get them in the same flavors if you so choose. The specials include an Ahi tuna or grilled chicken wrap, quesadillas, nachos, a grilled Mahi Mahi plate and a shrimp platter. Burgers come dressed as supreme, garbage, avocado, western or with mushroom, bacon, and Swiss cheese. Sandwiches include a patty melt, reuben and a shrimp po-boy. There’s also a Grilled War Eagle sandwich that includes chicken, pineapple, onions and Swiss cheese and a Roll Tide Chicken sandwich that hosts bacon, ranch, and American cheese. Both the War Eagle and the Roll Tide are served on a sweet mesquite bun.

The fish tacos have are a huge hit and now, in addition to the fish, are crunchy shrimp tacos, sushi grade Ahi tuna tacos, and Southern pulled pork tacos. Barbeque is also on the menu and comes in the form of a pork plate, pulled pork sandwich, a brisket plate or a brisket sandwich. On the lighter side, salads are available. A House (green salad), grilled chicken salad, Ahi Tuna Salad or the Fairhope Salad, which is a spinach based salad.

A full bar is available with a daily happy hour from 4pm-7pm with daily drink specials. They have craft beer on tap that will continually rotate in order to allow customers to try the latest releases. Fairhope Grill and Bar will also host live music on Friday and Saturday evenings during “Musical Happy Hour”.
